Cogs & Marvel: Gifting Experience

In December 2021, Cogs & Marvel decided to do something a little different. Rather than sending out the customary Christmas box of chocolates or bottle of wine, we opted to gift our clients something truly distinctive.
Representing Cogs & Marvel’s global presence, with offices in Dublin, London, and San Francisco, we crafted a multi-sensory unboxing experience to remind our clients of the length and breath of our creativity.
Partnering with Mandy Aftel, renowned perfumer to celebrities and Michelin star chefs, we created three unique edible fragrances inspired by our agency's distinct locales. We then collaborated with acclaimed mixologist Ian Mc Carthy to incorporate each fragrance into a unique cocktail, capturing the essence of each location. The final concoctions were whiskey, brown bread and butter for Dublin; gin, bergamot and Earl Grey for London; and vodka and blood orange for the city by the Bay.
As a final touch, QR codes were included in each box, guiding recipients to a video that led them through the sensory journey of our landscapes. Beginning with the picturesque Sally Gap in Ireland's Wicklow, then onto the tea rooms of London, and ending at the vibrant farmers markets of the Bay Area in San Francisco, we invited viewers to immerse themselves in the sights and sounds that accompany the most complimentary elixars.
Throughout the video, viewers also discover hidden Cogs & Marvel "Easter eggs" on things like coasters, napkins, and a even box of matches, all strategically placed to enhance immersion in the multi-sensory experience.
